About M7 Horsemanship

The Story

"Taking More Time So It Takes Less Time"

"Taking more time so that it takes less time" is the foundational principle of M7 Horsemanship.

Within doing so, horses are engaged with in a clear and consistent manner. The outcome? A horse that has been set up for success in all areas, from softness, to responsiveness, and confidence.

With this understanding, Makayla has been able to travel around the globe to work with horses of various breeds, disciplines and levels.

The Program

Makayla Gross has developed her training program to be tailored to the individual horse, addressing problems and issues in a way that will produce a confident, relaxed and responsive partner.

After ensuring a proper foundation, well-rounded horses are able to be produced with proper body control, feel and softness, allowing them to easily be furthered into the competition world or working scene.

Before M7

After competing in the all-around show events, Makayla directed her focus towards colt-starting and refinement. In 2019, she travelled to England for additional dressage experience before moving to Scotland to start colts at a horsemanship based yard. Afterwards, she accepted a colt-starting position at a reining barn in Germany.

In 2020, upon her return to Southern Alberta, Makayla began offering a variety of horsemanship focussed services.
