Colt Starting
-Ensuring A Correct Start-
Within colt starting, young horses are taught how to be soft, respectful, focussed, responsive and relaxed -- both on the ground and in the saddle.
In order to produce a horse that falls in a 'happy medium' between quiet and forward, horses advance in their training as they are capable to do so, both physically and mentally.
With a focus on a reining foundation, proper body control is emphasized from the very beginning -- as groundwork skills transition into technical ridden work -- all the while maintaining lightness and responsiveness.
