Demoss is a stunning 12 year old liver chestnut QH gelding. Standing at 15HH, this gentle boy has spent most of his ridden career on the trails -- the kind of horse that you can unload, hop on, and go. He's the same guy, even with time off, and has proven to be reliable and trustworthy. Demoss has also been used to move cattle, lead trail rides, and has spent lots of time in the arena. 

He’s done different obstacle work, drug logs, been around gunfire, hung out at roping practices, and has seen tons of different sights. Despite different settings, he's always offered to be the same, sensible man.

Demoss is soft in his mouth with a solid walk, trot, and lope -- and although he’s not an overly fancy or technical ride, he’s certainly quiet and safe. He’s naturally a more ‘whoa-than-go’ mount whose preferred gait is the walk or trot, however he will pick up the pace when asked, gladly carrying his rider through anything. 

Currently, he’s gaining some additional body control, focusing on shoulder work including side passing, leg yielding, and counter-arcs. 

This gentleman would make someone an awesome, all-around ride who wants a quiet and sane partner they can enjoy, indoors or out. Take him to the mountains or play around in the arena — this is your man. 

He lives outside year round, is used to being in large herd settings, and is happily barefoot. No maintenance, easy keeper. Demoss has a current coggins, is UTD on feet, and had a chiro/massage appointment before coming back into full-time work. He has one small, purely cosmetic scar on his left rear hock from an incident as a youngster. He has absolutely no soundness implications.
