Attention all draft-X lovers! If you want a well-built, thick and versatile boy who can go from the arena to the trail, look no further!

‘Joe’ is a 2012 Percheron x Paint who stands at approx. 14.3-15HH. This boy boasts both indoor and outdoor experience. He has extensive trail miles in the mountains and has seen all sorts of natural obstacles. He is hobble broke, has been packed, moves cattle, crosses water, and loves having a job outdoors!

In the arena, Joe is light in his mouth/body, well-connected throughout your hands and legs, and is a natural mover. He guides effortlessly, has beautiful upward and downward transitions, responds to your seat, works off your leg, neck reins, and is gaining more technical body control with every ride. He has three elevated and lofty gaits — riding him truly feels like you’re floating on a cloud!

Joe has drug sleds, carried flags, ridden out by himself, ponied other horses, had ropes swung off him, and has had various obstacle work completed. He has an incredible mind and truly wants to please — the kind of guy with an A+ personality and a very kind and gentle soul.

This boy would be perfect for someone interested in working equitation, cowboy challenge, or any number of events! You can ride him, pack him, take him out on the trail, or even ranch on him with some more work. Or, he would be a great all-around ride for someone wanting to do a little bit of everything.

Joe will only be re-homed to a confident intermediate+ rider who can appreciate his soft mouth, responsiveness, and knowledge under saddle.

Joe is currently located one hour North of the Montana border in Bow Island, Alberta. Delivery can be provided at an additional fee into nearby provinces or states, and additional transportation across Canada and the US can be arranged if needed.
