Meet Kricket! An 8 year old 15.1HH QH who has spent most of her life crushing it out on the trail! This girl is soft in her mouth, neck reins, and is a forward, yet responsive ride. She has a smooth-moving walk/trot/lope and is the type of girl that wants to have a job!

She has gone around barrels and poles for fun, has been hauled to a few rodeos, and has also been used at a some roping brandings. She has had extensive use as a guide horse at a trail operation, and has even been used on a few cattle roundups! She is quiet going out-and-about, and is a non-anxious / non-spooky type.

However, she does have two issues that must be made aware about:

Three years ago, Kricket began rearing out of the blue. It was discovered that she had issues with her teeth, and rearing became her response to the discomfort caused from riding. However, while her teeth have been fixed and her pain has gone away, she will still sometimes test her rider out. Therefore, she needs a confident handler who can help guide her through this issue. The more she is used, the less of an issue it becomes, and with further consistent riding and a good hand, there’s no doubt that she can’t be turned back into her normal, dreamboat self!

Secondly, at the same time Kricket had her teeth issues, she also foundered, and therefore, she requires a hay-only diet. However she requires no extra maintenance and is both sound and happily barefoot!

This girl will make someone an awesome project, but a good home is a top priority!
