Calm and quiet 2010 registered APHA mare for sale! This girl is truly one of a kind -- she has all the grit, try, and willingness that you could ever dream of having in a horse, with a one-of-a-kind personality to match. First to the gate, she is an absolute people-person horse, without being pushy, bossy, disrespectful or having the stereotypical ‘mare’ attitude. Standing at 15 HH, she is built like a tank and is ready for trails, pleasure riding or cattle work.

Sage had three months of professional training as a four year old, and was used for pleasure and trail riding up until she was 7. She then had two years off due to no fault of her own, but she was still handled, hauled, and kept UTD on everything.

Sage has since finished a refresher course with M7 and proved to be easy as they come -- no funny business or silliness. She disengages and flexes laterally on the ground and in the saddle, is light in the mouth, and is working off legs quite nicely. She is currently becoming more responsive to seat cues, and is practicing lateral movements, including leg yielding. She has been hauled to various arenas where she settles into new surroundings quickly.

This girl is also very cowy! She is used almost every day for pen checks, and though she hasn't done extensive ranch work , she would make a phenomenal ranch horse. She’s comfortable with flags, ropes, tarps, whips cracking, objects being drug behind her, etc. She is easy to catch, ties great, and loads beautifully. Beginners have ridden her, and with her personality and willingness, she would make an awesome kids horse for a confident beginner +. However, she has all the ability to be a wonderful ranch/trail/pleasure horse for a more experienced rider. She’s a very patient, willing, and docile mare.
