Sippin Doubles
2007 Tennessee Walker Mare
*SOLD*
Meet Aquila — a stunning 2007 registered mare that is ready to find a new home to be ridden on trails, in the pasture, or to be loved on by children.
Standing at 16HH, this girl has spent most of her life following other horses on the trail, and thus, is an exceptionally basic and straightforward ride.
She would thrive in a home where she would be used in similarity to her previous life, or to pack items on the trail, pony children, be a 4-H project, or be the safe and sane horse to lead the the grandchildren around when they come to visit. She’s spent the majority of her time being ridden in a rope halter and lead rope, but is also comfortable in a snaffle.
She’s currently a solid walk-trot type of ride (and a super smooth ride at that!) and is being refreshed in learning her lope cues and combining that forward motion alongside steering. She’s definitely a more ‘whoa’ than ‘go’ type of girl, and when she doesn’t understand something, she stops and waits to clarify rather than reacting.
She stands to be saddled, bridled, and mounted.
She loads smoothly, is used to hauling in dividers, and backs out of the trailer.
She leads, ties and has finished a short refresher in basic groundwork.
She has a wonderful and pleasant demeanour and mindset and is at the bottom of the pecking order.
Aquila produced one baby last year and because of that, she had the later end of last year off, and now has resumed work.
Aquila is fully sound, but does have a cosmetic scar on her rear left leg from an old wire cut, but vet checks are always welcome!
